Essential Qualification: A. (i) Master’s degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation with at least 55% of marks or its equivalent grade of 'B' in the UGC seven point scale and consistently good academic record. (ii) At least 13 years' experience as Deputy Librarian in University library or any other library statutory organization or 18 years’ experience as a College Librarian. (iii) Evidence of innovative Library service and organization of published work.
Desirable Qualification: M.Phil./ Ph.D. degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation/ Archives and Manuscript Keeping.OR
B. Deputy Librarian completing service of three years in the AGP of Rs. 9000 and otherwise eligible as per the API scoring system and PBAS methodology developed in UGC Regulations, 2010 with a Ph.D. qualification. Note: Other conditions as per UGC Regulations, 2010.

(iii) Evidence of innovative library service and organization of published work and professional commitment, computerization of library.
Desirable Qualification: M.Phil./ Ph.D. degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ documentation/ archives and manuscript keeping, computerization of library.

Assistant Librarian 01
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 (PB-3) + Academic Grade Pay Rs. 6000
Essential Qualification: (i) Master’s degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% of marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library. (ii) Qualifying in the National Level Test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC. (iii) However, candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in accordance with the "University Grants commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulations 2009", shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/ SLET/ SET for recruitment and appointment of University Assistant Librarian.
Desirable Qualification: PG Diploma in Library Automation and Networking or PGDCA or equivalent.
